The Blind in the Days of Jesus
President: Bill Case. Bill was born in Mississippi. Joined the Army in 1947, at age 16, and took the Oath from then, General Dwight David Eisenhower, on the steps of the old Court House, in Vicksburg, MS. After a short break in service, he was recalled to active service in May 1951. Served, one short tour in Korea, and two tours in Vietnam. Retired, February 1, 1971, with more than 20 years of service. He and his wife, Ann, can rightfully call El Paso their home having lived here for forty-seven years.
Vice President:  Roger H. Vanlankvelt. Roger was born in Wisconsin in 1929, After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served four years, including a tour in Korea. Taking a discharge he then enlisted in the Navy for four years serving aboard the USS Northampton, a CLC Light Cruiser. Leaving the navy, Roger worked at White Sands Missile Range where he stayed for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1984. Roger is a volunteer in the BVA office at the VA Health Care System
Sec/Treasurer:   Leland  Durbin Lee Durbin was born in Missoui but grew up in California.  At age sixteen he joined the Merchant Marines serving three years.  He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he remained for twenty years, retiring in 1977.  He then was employed by the Army Special Services working twenty-nine years in both Germany and the United States before retiring in 1994. Lee is a volunteer at the VA Clinic working in Escort Services.
Chaplain Nathaniel Richard Nathaniel was born in Arkansas in 1932 and went through school there.  Finishing school, he enlisted in the U.S.Army and remained in the service for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1979.  He worked in Logistics while in the army, dealing with numbers and quantities.  Today he is a man of faith serving our Regional BVA Group as its Chaplain.
Sgt-At-Arms:   Edward Molina Eddie grew up in California, after school he was drafted into the Army, during WWII, where he stayed for more than twenty years.  Retiring, in El Paso, Texas, Eddie has been a Volunteer at the VA Health Care System for many many years, (that , even he himself has forgotten).   Also, the past Commande of Chapter 10, Disabled American Veterans for more than 12 years.   At 80  years of age, he is one of the most active Blinded Veterans in the El Paso, Southwest.
